Continuing the tradition of intellectual engagement and leadership, the Alumni Association organized the 13th Annual ALUMaT Lecture on Friday, 15th August 2025, at the UMaT Auditorium, Tarkwa, under the theme:
“Mining with a Mission – Leadership, Legacy and the Future of the Ghanaian Resource Economy.”
The lecture was chaired by Prof. Richard Kwasi Amankwah, Vice Chancellor of UMaT, with Odeneho Okyere Kusi Ntrama (Aduana Piesie / Asanteman Benkumhene, Essumejamanhene) serving as Distinguished Guest of Honor, and Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, as Special Guest of Honor.
The annual lecture brought together industry leaders, academics, and alumni to discuss the evolving landscape of Ghana’s mining sector and to highlight the role of leadership and legacy in shaping a sustainable resource economy.
